Last week, several of Biztec’s team members traveled to Denver, Colorado (CO) to attend Verkada One. The convention brought together industry leaders, customers, and business partners for an event highlighting Verkada’s growth, partnerships, solutions, and more.
Verkada One was a hub of innovation and networking, from inspirational keynote speakers to product showcases. To best highlight the event, Brent Null and Jennifer Morang (Account Executives at Biztec) have shared their most memorable moments and takeaways.

Key Highlights and Personal Takeaways
The Event Location and Layout
This year’s convention occurred at the Denver Convention Center in downtown Denver. With a schedule packed full of sessions, partner kickoffs, keynotes, and evening networking events, the energy never dropped. Our team took full advantage of every opportunity to explore the venue and connect with new people.
Sessions, Speakers, and Solutions
Our account executives, Brent Null and Jennifer Morang, attended a wide range of sessions. They also participated in the channel dinner and had the chance to interact directly with Verkada’s internal teams and channel managers.
Keynote speakers delivered practical takeaways and timely updates, equipping attendees with strategies that can be applied directly to client needs. One standout moment for Brent was the Partner Success Tools session, which demonstrated how to make the most of the resources available within the Verkada ecosystem.

Interviewer: Where did Verkada One take place?

Interviewer: What kinds of things did you learn?
Jenny: New products and partner portal updates
Brent: New Verkada Products, Partner Portal updates, and how to utilize Verkada resources more effectively.
Interviewer: What activities did you take part in?
Jenny: Sessions regarding the partner portal, keynotes, new product presentations, partner updates, and the channel dinner!
Brent: Partner kick-off, exploring the command connector breakout session, Verkada’s partner success tools breakout session, keynote event, and new products session, dinner with Verkada reps and our Channel Manager.
Interviewer: What new technologies or solutions were introduced at Verkada One?
Jenny: All product lines have additions - major ones include the new camera launches, the new PTZ camera with context, the command connector, AI powered search, and apple wallet partnership for AC.
Brent: The Command Connector, new camera additions (PTZ, Fisheye), and new AI enhancements.
Interviewer: How do you hope to apply what you’ve learned to your work?
Jenny: Discuss updates and new products with customers and use the Verkada store for sales.
Brent: Product updates will definitely be something to discuss with new and existing customers; new Partner Portal updates to make it easier to work with and communicate with Verkada; the new online store will make it easier to place orders with Verkada.
Interviewer: Who did you meet at Verkada One?
Jenny: Many regional managers and reps!
Brent: Sales Managers and Directors, Sales Reps, Engineers, and other Partners.
Interviewer: What resources or tools did you gain from Verkada One that will help your team succeed?
Jenny: HiveWatch demo set up and the Verkada store are the biggest [resources].
Brent: Command Connector will be a game changer, especially for customers with legacy equipment who want to implement Verkada over time.
Interviewer: Were there any standout keynote speakers or sessions that had a big impact on you?
Brent: The Partner Success Tools sessions were packed with great information about utilizing all the resources available at our fingertips.
Interviewer: What insights did you gain from networking with other attendees?
Jenny: Relationship building and potential customer mapping.
Brent: Biztec is highly regarded by many of the reps, managers, and directors I spoke with. Building on that success was key in our conversations about how to expand and grow our business opportunities.
Interviewer: How did attending Verkada One inspire or challenge your perspective on the future of physical security?
Jenny: Verkada is always investing in the latest and greatest and continues to be a top provider in every vertical.
Brent: Verkada’s all-in-one approach to physical security is the key to their success. By adding enhanced AI to the platform, [it] sets Verkada apart from the competitors.

Jenny: Just that it’s growing, and it should continue to be a priority for every business.
Brent: AI is truly the future of enhanced physical security.
Interviewer: Were there any memorable moments that people should know about?
Brent: On the final night of the event, the dinner included a concert with the performer, Nelly!
Interviewer: What was your biggest takeaway of the week?
Jenny: Grow the relationship with Verkada [through]…weekly or biweekly syncs with reps.
Brent: New product information on the Command Connector.
Interviewer: How did this event differ from other industry conventions you've attended?
Brent: I liked the fact that they have breakout sessions based on the attendee, whether you are a customer or a partner.
Interviewer: Why is it important to attend conventions like this one?
Jenny: Networking is # 1!
Brent: To network with other reps and learn about all of the new products and services coming out that might impact your opportunities.
Interviewer: Where will next year’s event be held?
Both: Chicago!
